Never used a camera before? Want to learn how? If you just bought a DSLR or any camera and want to learn how to use it, this is the video for you!

This tutorial is for people who have never used a camera before and are getting into Photography and/or Filmmaking for the first time. I walk beginners through how to get a great shot and what exactly all those numbers mean on the camera.

I review, in detail, what Shutter Speed, Aperture (F-Stop), ISO, and Depth of Field are. This video is in a lecture style, so grab a pen and paper and take some notes. But I keep it fun by cracking jokes and dropping the occasional curse because, well, we’re all adults here. Aren’t we?

Continue your lesson by watching PART 2 here:
The next lesson is all about the Light Meter.

Awesome Video! Quick question: I’m trying to get into photography, and I
recently purchased a Nikon D3300 to learn on. The camera has a listed
native ISO range of 100 to 12800, and allows ISO settings of 100, 200, 400,
800, 1600, 3200, 6400, and 12800. Does that mean that each of these
settings represents a full stop/native ISO and that the D3300 can’t benefit
from digital pull by setting the ISO a third stop lower? Thanks again, I
    definitely learned a lot!

  • Bernardo Silva

a lot, Sir, if you can make voice over addition of the same in Hindi
language of India, it will be very helpful for those people who not much
understand the English language and its pronunciation flow.
